Delivery, Sea Trials, and Launch
Princess Cruises officially took delivery of Star Princess in late September 2025.
Before that, she underwent sea trials to test performance, safety systems, and seaworthiness.
Once tests passed, final crew onboarding and outfitting took place, leading to her departure from the yard and positioning in Barcelona ahead of her inaugural voyage.
Inaugural Mediterranean Voyage & Itinerary
The first cruise began on October 4, 2025, as an 11-day round trip from Barcelona.

After returning to Barcelona, she will run a short 7-night Mediterranean cruise, then cross the Atlantic to Fort Lauderdale to begin her Caribbean season.
The formal naming (christening) ceremony is to be held on November 6, 2025, in Fort Lauderdale.
Future Deployment & Route Plans
After her Caribbean season, Star Princess will reposition via the Panama Canal to Seattle. She will begin Alaska Inside Passage cruises in summer 2026.
In Alaska, she will run 7-night cruises exploring the region’s dramatic fjords, glaciers, and wilderness.
