Club Med has officially unveiled plans for its first Exclusive Collection Resort in Thailand!- Koh Samui. Yes, you heard that right and it is set to open on the island of Koh Samui in the second half of 2028. Why is this expansion important? The project is being developed in partnership with Central Group Capital. This is a fund management arm of one of Thailand’s largest conglomerates. In April 2026, a Hotel Management Agreement (HMA) was signed, with the official unveiling taking place at another location, the Club Med Kiroro Peak in Japan. This collaboration brings together Club Med’s global and renowned expertise in all-inclusive luxury experiences and tied with the Central Group’s deep local knowledge and ofcourse investment capabilities.
Soravit Chairoj, who is the Managing Partner and Co-Head of Central Group Capital said, “We are fortunate to have the opportunity to acquire and re-develop this beautiful property.
